We just had a huge hail storm. I've never seen anything like it. I'm from Ohio, and although I've been in Abilene for 15 years, this is the worst I've seen. My wife is from Barbados and she always says something like "I would never have believed it if I didn't see it myself" when it snows, sleets, or hails here. My wife's car took a beating. Because of the trains and other things, and my newer car, there isn't room for two cars in our garage. Thank God for insurance, although it will be a pain to make the claim.

Spend as little as possible on what you need so you can spend as much as possible on what you want.

You certainly wouldn't want to get conked on the head by one of those suckers! Sorry to hear your car was damaged. We get the occasional storm like that here in Australia and I have had damage done to my car in the past.

Most of our car yards here are out in the open, and if you are prepared to put up with a few dints here and there, you can get a good deal on hail damaged new vehicles!!

As the mods know, while I was on my very recent UK trip, my wife had a smash and we are currently looking at a getting a new car. Unfortunately, there were no hail storms while I was away!!
Vision over visibility. Bono, U2.

It's too late now but when we were in Memphis and expecting a hailstorm I put sleeping bags over the car and golf ball sized hail did no damage to it. A tornado ripped a tree up and put it through the windshield though. No hail dents. Amazing.

The size of them stones could do serious damage to your health, lets hope you get no more of them heading your way, take care and I hope the damage done is not to costly.

I have to say I have seen large hail stones but not as big as that.
