Changed my mind numerous times and will probably keep doing so too.

I changed my mind on where the goods sidings connect to the main line, originally it was to be the front of the layout at the station.  I realised there wasn't much room for a good headshunt, so with a bit of brainwave it now connects to the rear, there will be a skewed tunnel entrance at that point.  Makes for a more interesting layout.

The real railway changed its mind from time to time too so "rationalising" track plans is definitely prototypical.

you're not doing this hobby right if you don't keep changing your mind

some are cheaper / easier than others

i've ummed and ahhhd over the time mine is set in (can be exensive) eventually decided on having some of the cars / signs / etc changeable for if i want to go back from modern image which it looks best to sectorisation,   BR blue or before

I went through a few changes to the track layout early on as I discovered some configurations simply weren't practical (loops too short, problems with clearance).  Then I ripped everything up again in order to fit underlay.  Since then I've resisted temptation to mess with the layout and just get on and build the scenery.

Until now!  Now I'm trying to work out if I can extend my baseboard a little to add a long loop to the fiddle yard.  The problem is that there isn't a curved point the size I need.  Well, that's one problem...
