Waterslide transfers

I've just bought some waterslide transfers off eBay, and good lord they're tiny!!?
Also, they're back to front on the backing sheet, so how do I get them onto the loco?
With them being so small, does anybody with experience of these have any tips on how to apply them? Would you advise using any kind of magnifying glass or similar?

If they are back to front on the backing sheet then the method is actually slightly different. The exposed side of the transfer should be slightly tacky. As mentioned you cut round it with a scalpel and place it on your model as close as possible to the desired location. Slight finger pressure should make it adhere to the model. Next dab on some water and the backing paper should float away leaving the transfer the right way up and you should get a brief period when you can adjust its position. Check though that the transfer is water slide as some need chemicals....

What was the manufacturer - if it was Model Rail Transfers (MRT) then it would be water.

No idea who the manufacturer is! I've tried some of the transfers, and it's a fiddle as they're back to front! Tried pressing them onto the model then wetting the back paper, didn't go too well! Got some on now though, so we'll see how we get on! The difficult bit is cutting out the individual loco numbers and sticking them next to each other!

I bought some off Ebay as well a few weeks back as they were cheap. A guy was selling quite a lot of transfers such as you describe so they could be the same sort. Basically the ones I've got are well past their best as transfers do go off over time. They've lost their tackiness and are next to useless. That'll teach me to try to save money. I'll end up buying Fox or Modelmaster instead anyway so in the long run I spent more but at least they'll do the job!
