What I left behind

When we moved from Conwy, North Wales to Tenerife, we left behind a large house & gardens that we had designed ourselves, and 2 model railways. An outside 00 one that ran all round the garden, and a smaller inside one that sat on top of a pool table.

The garden railway I left to the new owners to decide what they wanted to do with it, but the indoor layout I advertised in Railway Modeller and sold far too cheaply, including loads of rolling stock.

I video'd the house and gardens (on which you can just catch glimpses of the outside layout), but spent more time videoing the pool table layout with trains running round it.

If you are interested in taking a look, below is a Link to the YouTube video I did, and also a photograph I took of just one part of the outside layout which ran across the fish pond that I constructed at the rear.

The Stag shown in the garage in the video is the one my wife and I emigrated in.
I did keep just a few of my 00 engines though and currently have them on display in our Los Cristianos apartment.

Such a shame to have had to leave it, Terry, and I hope the new residents have retained it. What better way to spend an evening with your favourite tipple watching the trains?? :)

Man, that would hurt to leave.

I've kept that in mind since I started this hobby. I can't make a layout so big or permanent that it won't be able to go with me someday.
