Hattons delivered me a Class 24 in two tone green this week for £82.45 and it is quite brilliant. Going on my new layout with a Class 22 and a Class 26 as soon as the track laying is finished.

Agree with you totally about the 24. I have 3 of them now including a dcc sound fitted one tgst uses the large locsound speaker in the fuel tank.

Apart from the roof panel problem, that irks, it's a lovely model, which makes me more impatient for the 25's and 31's.

I certainly got my eye on this set it certainly is a good deal. I think I have to be good this year so Santa Clause can get me one. 

But I think I need to save up for the cl25 I'm looking forward to that one as well.

Certainly looks a good price, although there is no pic to confirm track and controller is included and it's only for pre-ordering as is not currently in stock.

in my post 24/3/13 i think i mentioned this and the transformer is a guagemaster combi. you are right in that it is a bargain, one i have not missed only concern is the postage but hattons are usually very good

I`ve ordered one, will use the 24 and rolling stock on my layout and use the track and controller to make myself a new DC running in track!

Well that depends how you look at it. You've got two ways to do accessory power with it

1. Split the 16v wire from the wallwart to the controller
2. Put a meter on the 3 output pins on the track wire. You'll find you've got regulated DC, 0v and an unregulated supply (which they don't seem to wire)

There isn't a lot of power for accessories off the wallwart but it should be fine for things like Kato points or a few LEDs.

Or buy two, that gives you a second one you can use the DC from for lighting (and brightness knob) and 16v AC
