Please don't shoot me but I have a question.

No doubt you remember that I bought an HO (Spits, washes mouth out with soap!) Jouef restaurant car by mistake on Ebay??

I have been trying to sell it again on Ebay but after it being listed 4 times there has never been any interest!

My question is this:- Does anyone here know of someone who might like it for a tenner + postage?

Regards, Peter.

Hello Peter,

Have you tried posting an advert in the non n gauge items in the classifieds?

If you have tried that, I don't know how you advertised it on eBay but it may be worth sticking it back in with a starting price of 99p and see what happens.

cheers John.

P.S. I have a OO building I bought by mistake, so you are not alone  :-[  :help:

Thanks John.

OK starting with .99p but if the auction ends at only £1.00 I lose more, I cannot find the button to set a reserve!

I am offering it on Ebay at start price of £10.00 or "Buy it now" at £15.00, which I don't think is unreasonable since I will lose another tenner anyway!

Regards, Peter.

Hello Peter

Have you listed it on international eBay sites? 6p extra if I recall.

Don't forget to increase your postal charge - I always send "international signed for".

Best regards
Michael

Thankyou Michael.

The answer is no, I do not know how to?

Hello Peter

Under "Add P&P details" add an International postage rate. This makes your item visible to people overseas.

On the next page you'll see "Maximise your listing's visibility"

Click on the check-box by eBay.com and eBay.ca

Its 5p extra not 6p! To be honest I'm not sure how more visible this makes your listing, but its only 5p.

Best regards
Michael

Hi Peter,

Only stumbled on your post as have some time clicking through todays posts but thought that if you changed your post subject name to 'SNCF cheeky question' you might get a result.

I presume the Jouef coach is SNCF. Sorry if wrong! But if so, it would have pricked my ears up and so possibly other french railway modellers as well (who I'm sure have a secret stash of HO stuff that is not talked about here!)

Hope helps. Can't help with the ebay. I know nothing!

Cheers weave

A small warning If you put a start and BIN price as soon as someone bids above the start price, I think you will find the BIN disappears.

see http://ocsnext.ebay.co.uk/ocs/sc for info on reserve price. Fees are different as well

Yep, that's quite correct. But if you keep it rolling over for long enough it should sell sooner or later. It's just that your future buyer isn't looking just yet.
