Electrolube is more for electical components as it frees up tight mechs but it can also dry them out and cause plastic drive train components to shrink and crack. This is all aside from the fact it is too thick to start with anyway, (yes caught out, guilty as charged).  They have recently introduced Powerlube which i cant confirm is the same as Electrolube or not. As i said i use the MGR oils and find they work fine, i use them on both OO and N gauge mechs. Having said that i also use 3 in 1 oil on OO gauge models without any issues, i think it is to thick for N which is a shame as Poundland sell it for, well a £1.
