Hi all

Well it looks like 60009 Union Of South Africa is no longer hauling tomorrows Cumbrian Mountain Express  :veryangry:  :'(

But it seems to have been replaced by Black 5 45231

Nothing is for certain but the engine move yesterday from York to Crewe was 45231 and not 60009
And I can't find any mention of 60009 going to Crewe today  :hmmm:

I don't mind Black 5s but I have not seen an A4 on the mainline  :(
But with the Black 5 having less power there is more chance that the diesel will be doing more work  :unimpressed:

:beers:

Still waiting fro my Dapol Class 22 from Cheltenham Model Centre.  :(

Called them once to make sure my order was still on file; it was.

Heard nothing for 2 weeks so used their website Contact Us page on 1 August to ask for an ETA. Heard nothing.

A bit irritating when you don't get a reply from a supplier that offers an online enquiry service.  >:(

You could always cancel it and go elsewhere. Rails delivered in 48 hours (ok it had to go back but thats Dapol's fault)

Out of interest, what was the fault please, Alan?

Mine had a wheel that wasn't round so one of the bogies waddled down the track. Shame as it was otherwise beautiful. It's replacement is on the way.

I know, but the pre-order was placed with a price of £94 so a bit reluctant to do that!

I did 'panic buy' one from a Liverpool source (ex stock and runs very well) as I didn't want to miss out on what could be a short production run. Paid a bit of a hike on the price though.

Another Class 22 on the layout wouldn't hurt - apart from the already battered wallet -  but  when? :(
