I went along to the Gateshead Giant Toy & Train Collectors Fair yesterday.  It is a large square hall located inside Gateshead International Stadium.  It was the second time I have been there and after paying the £2 entrace fee the first thing I noticed it was nowhere nearly as busy as my previous visit.  My friends and I had agreed to meet at a certain time and I was just buying my first purchase when I recognised a voice saying "Oh! Look, a Scotsman handing over money without crying."  My friends had arrived.  As they model in O gauge we parted agreeing to meet up later.

There were four or five stalls that had some n gauge on them, one was fairly old and well used stock, a couple of stalls had me interested and the last two had some new items for sale.

I bought two Bachmann Union Pacific coaches, a Lima DB E-184 Electric Blue loco (my first continental) and an Atlas Santa Fe US Mail car from one stall.  I also bought a 1:144 Chinook, two station platforms, some bench seats and six packs landscaping scatter I need for the Diorama Project due for presentation end of September.  All these were ridiculously cheap.

After wandering round for an hour or two this hall starts to feel like an oven so I find my friends and they have seen what they wanted so we leave.

Here are a few pictures of my purchases  :camera:

Thanks for the report, Scotsoft.
When I lived in the area I always went to the Stafford Toy & Train Fairs and never came away without at least one bargain.
