Ahha! I have a legitimate use for 

Back last year I was fed up with my car only having a single tone horn (most have a dual tone, one high one low) so I "compensated" by ordering a set of train horns from the US of A and fitting them behind the rear bumper.

Needless to say it turns a few heads

The car itself did that before anyway being one of the rare V8 MG ZTs, so people tend to do a double take when they hear the V8 rumble, turn round to see what it is, then turn back again for a second look when they see "a Rover 75"

Maybe thats what I need to wake some of the selfish cyclists that block the roads by riding 3 abreast

Coming home from visiting friends in Exeter one Saturday night my girlfriend and I came across a group of teenagers standing in the middle of one of the lanes on a dual carriageway... I carefully moved into the outside lane and pulled past them.

When the rear of the car was level with said group I "let her rip"

You've never seen drunk teenagers move so quickly

some years ago a mate of mine got two sets of air horns, but fitted the two high notes to one compressor, and the two low notes to the other.

two push buttons on the dash, and a piercing hi note on dual carriageways, a low note around town, and if a d***head got in his way .........

Ha ha, Dave... total agreement there about the cyclists. A letter in our local rag last week was going on about them. The guy who wrote the letter referred to them as MAMIL's - Middle Aged Men In Lycra.

So what is easier to overtake - 3 cyclists riding line astern or 3 cyclists riding abreast?  Assuming of course you give the ones riding line astern sufficient room ie pull out properly...

So while it may mean you can not overtake within the same lane they are actually trying to make it easier for you.

I currently have sitting on top of my wardrobe a proper Dixie horn, with a second compressor to run just the middle 2 horns so it can be used as the standard horn. All I need now is to buy the car to attach it on too!
