RTC Stock

Chaps & Chapessess,

As most of you know STUfromEGDL has resprayed a Peak and VAA into Ixion and the Trib Van in RTC livery for me http://www.ngaugeforum.co.uk/SMFN/index.php?topic=10739.0

Now this has got me interested in the RTC Stock from the same era and so I've been trawling through this website http://www.traintesting.com/index.htm and come across a couple of wagons that I thought I might have a bash at, mainly Cyclops http://www.traintesting.com/images/RDB901601_3-4__m_.jpg and Decapod http://www.traintesting.com/images/Decapod.jpg

Now Deacapod should be the easiest of the 2 to do, because it's based on a jacked up freightliner flat, but Cyclops will be a bit more difficult, so I have a question is there an N gauge model of a Trestrol EC?? I know the NGS do a Trestrol kit, but is it the EC version?? or can it be converted into an EC??

If someone has built the NGS one can they share a piccie of it please?? so I can gauge if it's fairly simple to convert, I think the bogies are going to be awkward as they're 6 wheel bogies, albeit fairly flat plated ones.

I actually quite fancy building a few more of the RTC coaches, so watch this space and Mr.Warr be prepared to recieve requests from me for RTC vinyls in the near future

Central load space is 72mm

Mmmm thanks for showing your model Dave, it looks like it'll be too much work to convert that kit, I'll have to find another way, this probably means scratchbuild 

Never done it before, ahh well I'll have to give it a go sometime or other  Unless someone else can come up with an idea??

I've got the Modern Railways Special - Derby Technical Centre, which may be the book in question. Published by Ian Allan in 1989, ISBN: 0-7110-1781-6

Thoroughly recommended if you model that era.
