Dapol FGW Buffet Car

I've had it confirmed by Dapol that the FGW buffet car NC-216H will be in the dynamic lines livery and not the earlier FGW livery, hope to have a picture later.

At least it will match the rest of the set, while there were some mixed sets they seemed to get them re-vynyled very quickly.

Here's a pre-production photo from Ally Pally last year http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v186/TomEveritt/e42198d5.jpg    There was a photo in the reviews section of the February 2013 Railway Modeller of a production sample.
I'm somewhat confused I have to admit about availability on this, elsewhere Dapol's Dave Jones announced they had arrived on 23rd January and on 7th February posted:

...FGW buffets are still in stock at Dapol, so if your stockist says 'out of stock' you know to correct them...

I haven't seen them shown as available on any stockist website I've viewed  - I'll try giving my pre-order supplier a 'phone call tomorrow to see what the 'problem' might be

I note these are now available direct from Dapol's own website shop, with the indifference experienced from my pre-order supplier reported above I've cancelled with them and ordered here:

I have been in conversation with some stockists regarding this issue ( yes I know it's early Sunday morning but its important), and have to give you all an apology and an explanation to the situation.

It seems that the 2 stockists I have spoken too ( 2 large ones) did order quantities of all the buffets, and have not yet received them.
Added to this they also mention previous orders placed that havn't been received either.

This means that while all the information I have so vociferously been imparting was correct, it was only correct to my understanding at the time.

It seems we have some sort of software problem that is not sending orders to the correct department, or even registering them as it should so the other part of the system can print out the paperwork, allocate the models and tell the dispatch department to ship them.

This is obviously an unknown but huge problem that I can imagine will be looked at in depth and with urgency tomorrow morning.

For now though, please accept my apologies to you all, as I gave information that was correct to me at the time.

Also to any traders who may have ordered but not received product, and feel slighted by my comments in any way please also accept my apology and rest assured we will get the situation sorted without delay.

Cheers for posting the above Gerry. Having read through the topic on 'the other forum' last night i was going to send Dave a message confirming that Rails had not received any. We contacted Dapol in the week to find out what was happening with these so i can only assume our call got passed on to Dave hence the message he posted this morning.

Looks like we'll be getting these this week then

Whilst Dave is still claiming that only one retailer has placed a (small) order. Seems not to be the case! Look forward to getting my paws on one, finally! Bets on when the TGS arrives... 2016?
