Title: Waddells Models
Post by: Agrippa on October 03, 2012, 11:12:18 AM
This business now operating from the old D&F Models premises in
Bell Street , central Glasgow, not certain of stock, but listed as
a Bachmann / Farish dealer on the Bachmann website. As far
I know only other N gauge suppliers in W of Scotland are
Modelzone branches.

Yes. D and F now reborn as Waddells Models. I have visited the shop and they don't have a lot of stock yet. However Pastimes in Maryhill Rd is where I usually buy my N gauge. They have new and secondhand N gauge available.
Looking forward to all the new goodies promised by Dapol.

Hello Forneth
Note you have bought from Pastimes, their website doesn't show much,
wondered what N gauge stuff they have sold and price levels.

cheers

Pastimes has new Farish at a little under list price, varying discounts. Also have Peco and Gaugemaster accessories and Gordon tells me they are considering a Dapol account.  They have ordered things for me at a discounted rate.  Second-hand locos and stock seem to me to be a reasonable price, must be because it keeps selling, so when I go back for another look the item is often gone. Oh yeah and they give a 3 month guarantee with second-hand locos, but I have only needed to use it once. They don't seem to sell from their website, but do sell on ebay, check out dinkydoll.

Thanks for info, I know Maryhill Rd quite well, I always assumed they
only dealt with dolls houses and tinplate stuff, will have a look next time
I'm in the area.

Cheers
