Title: How Do You Fix Your Kato Point Switches Please....
Post by: Gizzy on January 20, 2020, 12:45:55 PM
As per the title, I see that there are keyhole slots underneath the Kato switches, but they are in opposing directions.

I'd like to fasten mine to the baseboard, an I've had an idea, but I'd like to know how others have fixed theirs please....

Silicone glue.  If you do need to lift them then a scalpel will cut them free.

NOT UHU or Bostik as they will melt the plastic.

Gosh, 2 ideas already!

I may go for one screw either end of the bank of switches and use silicon.

Thanks for the idea using an adhesive, which was one I hadn't considered....

I bought some industrial strength Velcro. It comes in 2 wide strips. I have a block of 8 switches so one length glued and stapled to the baseboard, the woolly bit glued to the block of switches.

Oh, switches meaning levers. Thought the OP was switches meaning points. Still use Copydex.

A stout rubber band , going round the Kato controller & blue switch units works well
