Title: Monk Bar Model Shop York
Post by: Rabbitaway on October 28, 2017, 10:06:54 PM
Visited this shop on my trip to York

Big and well stocked shop with a reasonable level of N gauge stock

The issue is prices, as everything at full RRP which is a disappointment for a bigger retailer, looks like the local market can stand this pricing based on how busy the shop was

Worth a visit if you are willing to pay full RRP

I have visited the shop on a couple of occasions when visiting 'back home'. As stated, it can be a busy shop, even with the not so cheap prices. Just a point - the shop is on line - http://www.monkbarmodelshop.co.uk (http://www.monkbarmodelshop.co.uk)

I was there about 4 years ago and, having shown the owner a spreadsheet of Peco point prices at various box shifters, he made me an offer near enough for me to take most of his stock!
Ergo, unless it's changed hands don't be afraid to ask if they'd offer a discount.
