Post by: PWayman on October 10, 2017, 12:48:01 PM
Hi Ben or MiKe   can you update the situation with the Hi Cubes. I have some on order and there does not seem to be an update of late.  Are they iminent?

Hi Bret

All the information (including a recent update on the hi cubes!) is on the project overview page of our website: http://www.revolutiontrains.com/projects/ (http://www.revolutiontrains.com/projects/)

The hi cubes are complete (and in the UK) - we just need to find a weekend to send them out (which is difficult at this time of year - shows and other commitments).

Cheers, Mike

How exciting!

I can't even remember how many I ordered.  :-[

Hi Ben and Mike,
Thank you, my two sets of Hi Cube containers arrived this morning.
As has already been observed, they are absolutely superb. The detail of the end doors and the legibility of the small print/transfers? (I have to use a magnifying glass) is beyond anything I have previously encountered.

C-Rail- Intermodal must be congratulated on their production.

Anyone who has not already done so would be wise to order before any remaining stock is exhausted.

As I live in South Africa I may have to wait a few months before mine arrive. Any chance of photos?

Hi John

The non-EU orders are the last batch to go out and should be going out this week.

Apologies for the delay - currently about to start the second house move in 3 weeks!

Cheers, Mike

So Two house moves in three weeks. How many houses do you own?

A profitable business you’re in  :D

So if you posted my containers now, who is my package from at the Post Office?

Ha - I wish! Out of one rented property, briefly into another before moving to a new flat...I hate moving!

Not me.

I had asked for mine to be sent to my parents in Spalding as I was there very recently. They did not arrive there so I assume “on auto pilot” sent out to my Cape Town address. I had emailed via the Revolution website but being holiday period not yet received clarification. Post to Cape Town can take 6 weeks.

Auckland NZ still no show :) I haven't been keeping a very close eye on the progress. When were they sent out these ways?

Is there a chance if a rerun of the high cube containers for those of us that missed the order but now have a bucket load of container flat wagons on order? ( just before I start searching Ebay for options!)

Dammit, beaten by Mike!

How many did they do originally? Evergreen is missing. Was there Hapag-Lloyd? Weird they're not on the C-Rail site.

Hello all,

The original line-up was Maersk, Hamburg Sud, Evergreen, MSC, UASC, Hanjin.

Evergreen is fully sold out, Maersk is only in stock with C-Rail.  The others are still in stock with both of us.

Cheers

@Ben A (http://www.ngaugeforum.co.uk/SMFN/index.php?action=profile;u=94)  Really? I put an order in for some UASC ones on the Revolution site, because that was all that was available. Everything else was showing as sold out.

Just checked again, and that's still the case.

HI All

Next 40ft HCs will be getting done at the same time as the NYK and OOCL for the pocket wagons.

In conjunction with Revolution we will be doing ONE Ocean Network Express and one other, It cold be Hapag lloyd or Hyundai, which is prefered ?

Will the NYK and OOCL containers only be avail with pocket wagon or also sold
Separate.
Good news about other HCs going to be available. Keeps variety in container flows interesting.

What about RUSSELL you see loads of them.

MAERSK SEALAND is another, which I presume would be easily adapted from the
Original MAERSK one.
I'm sure I've seen the HAMBURG SUD logo on a white container. Again easily adapted.

I think some thought should go into a batch of 20 foot containers to compliment the tank tainers with the KFA wagons.

Means you can mix and match.....40 + 20 or 3 X 20

I think Hamburg Sud were usually white logo on red container; if colours are reversed, it may be a reefer box.

I think they are also in the process of being swallowed by Mighty Maersk...……

Farish and Dapol both do a wide range of 20’ containers, I think Arran’s right to focus on gaps in the market - tanktainers and hicubes being the glaring omissions. Still plenty of liveries to go at. I’d probably have another couple of Evergreen if they re-ran them too.

I agree that red-on-white Hamburg Suds are the reefers.
