Post by: Jack Middleton on November 26, 2010, 07:58:40 PM
Here is Matlock town, based on Matlock station and parts of the town, just a small layout I work on every now and then, here's a web cam pick of current progress, getting a new camera in the coming weeks:

Hi Jack,

Looks like a good layout. Are you modelling any particular era?  What will you be putting inside the circle of track?

I went to Matlock about 15 years ago.  I think I went to a tram museum near to there.

70's/80's Br Blue, in the middle will be a central street where all of the familiar shops would be in Matlock, and there will be a car park for the station and a trackside warehouse for the sidings.

Wow, it just goes to prove what you can achieve in only a little more than 3 x 2 feet. Despite looking quite simple I think your track plan will still hold interest when you run it.

Looking forward to seeing the progress on this
