Title: Suggestion for RevolutioN - Gresley N2 0-6-2T

I would love to have one of these. I use to travel on trains hauled by these from Enfield Chase Station to Kings Cross in my trainspotting days.

A great suggestion! There is however a good 3D print N2 available.

The top of my wish list is a C1--there are no N gauge Atlantics out there and these served into the 1940s. I'd go for a couple of C1s.

When I were a lad we had a Hornby Dublo 3 rail version of this.  And my elder brother had had a Triang one - clockwork.  Dad fitted the HD  060T (R3?) chassis into it.  I now have a Bachman one acquired 2nd hand, for the small OO layout I amuse the grandsons with.  They having declared they have grown out of Thomas.  But I won't  be buying one in N.

There is indeed a 3D print available, and Steve's work is top quality, but there are many examples where a kit has been available and an RTR model has come along subsequently, we are then talking about different things. A kit is fine for those confident enough to build one (or with a wallet deep enough to pay someone to)and Steve's 3D prints are just about as straightforward as kits get, but I doubt even he would envisage a volume of 1000 plus selling.

There are issues to consider with this, not least the number of variants/sub-classes, condensing gear (or not) etc. Working out which best to propose (changing tooling with slides etc would add cost significantly I'd imagine) would then be a logical follow-on step.
