Hi Nobby,
I use a black 'Gunmetal' pen from my local Field Sport shop and it gives a shiny black, oily look to loco motions without rubbing off.

Over on the Isle of Man for a one week holiday. Fetched up in Douglas off the ferry from Heysham (very nice, smooth crossing, what I saw of it - spent most of the time asleep in the lounge). Got to the self-catering accommodation and by the time we'd unpacked and got ourselves acclimatised it was a bit late for cooking. "Blow it" (or words to that effect) "- let's go out for a pub supper."

Be warned - Sunday evening in Douglas is not the best time to be searching for a pub (or anywhere else) that does food - they don't!!  :veryangry:

Ended up at the McDonalds...

Malc

So you didn't actually get any food then?  :D
The years have been good to me, it was the weekends that did the damage.

Presumably there are shops where you can buy cans of beans, soup,

3 maybe 4 times in the last week Ive started to reach into my pocket to get a cigarette out  and have a smoke to assist my consentration.
Why oh Why did I do that?
I gave up smoking following NHS orders right back in 2008

My cousin gave up smoking over 30 years ago and yet she admits to still wanting to have a ciggy now and again, but never does

cheers John.

I believe you never really give up, it's just a long time between drags.
The years have been good to me, it was the weekends that did the damage.

Ha! How right you are, Malc!

I slipped back into bad ways last year after having stopped for quite a few years - I haven't had a "real" one for months but now I can't kick the e-cigarettes (fortunately SWMBO can't smell these!!)
"Look on my works, Ye Mighty, and despair!"

Trainfish

It's been 162 days since I had a real cigarette after going from around 25 per day to an e-cig. I expect to still have the odd craving for a very long time especially as I've smoked for around 35 years until Jan 28th this year. It means that even after taking away the cost of e-cig refills, batteries etc I have saved £1,152.78. Roughly  ;D

In April 2024 I will be raising money for Cancer Research UK by doing at least 100 press-ups every day.  Feel free to click on the picture to go to the donations page if you would like to help me to reach my target.

Caz

It's 42 years since I had my last cigarette and I still get the odd craving but just couldn't afford it these days I am pleased to say.   :)
