Crew coach is one of 2, the SR versions were painted red, as for elsewhere no idea. My 2 were just Dapol B sets painted, one that's not in the photo has had a good few windows plated over however it should be an old iron clad coach to be correct!

That is a good idea - the B set coach works well.  I have a Farish Mainline coach (one of the Poole ones) to repaint red.  Like you, I am intending to plate over a compartment.

Kind regards

Paddy

One thing that sometimes gets over looked, the coaches were accessed from the railside not a platform so I stuck some brass ladder sections from the 2 doorways I had to allow our little people up. Just leave enough room to clear points!!!

Not finished, but making good progress. This has been so fiddly!!

Yes that's a power conduit for the lamp in the roof. :)

Have just done the same with my Metcalfe signal box, but the level of detailing you've used is outstanding.
Returnee to Model Railways after 38 years, last time I was 10 and OO Gauge, now 48 and N gauge.

Thank you! I've got to put the walkway on the front and the cable trunk (I've made that out of paperclips and fusewire), then weather it.

To be honest, I've spent far too long on this...

Now I've finally managed to get out there, I've chipped a couple more locos, cleaned some track and fitted new traction tyres to my Dapol Britannia - getting those coupling rod screws back in was hard work. Worth it though. A quick test had it happily pulling 16 carriages away from a standing start on a 2% incline, with many of them on a curve.

I have been doing some low level filming of the layout with a £13.98 Minicam on a modified well wagon. I have found it very illuminating. Not only is my layout not completely flat it also reveals a myriad of minor imperfections I didn't realise were there until looking from the Driver's eye view. It has left me with at least 42 jobs to be getting on with, so with the current lockdown I have no excuse for getting on and doing them  :)

If it looks difficult it probably is, but might as well get on with it anyway!

At least @AndyRA the camera may have picked up a few things that need doing. Love your layout and that 25. Chris

Having many times watched in awe AL electrics approaching Bletchley from the south at about a ton bucking and yawing I don't think it's too much to worry about, Andy

Ted

Sorry, but more signal box activity tonight... :)

Getting ever closer to finishing it.
