Well I can add a third nail. I have had no problems over the last few days and, now I am getting used to the little differences over the old forum, am quite liking it.
David.
I used to be indecisive - now I'm not - I don't think.
If a friend seems distant, catch up with them.

How many nails do we need? I have another one.

In April 2024 I will be raising money for Cancer Research UK by doing at least 100 press-ups every day.  Feel free to click on the picture to go to the donations page if you would like to help me to reach my target.

To follow the construction of my layout "Longcroft" from day 1, you'll have to catch the fish below first by clicking on it which isn't difficult right now as it's frozen!

Just 1 request though. Can we have the big N Gauge Forum hyperlinked again to take us to the main page please?

Quote from: chrism on August 16, 2023, 10:56:08 AMAs has previously been reported, some of us are getting a huge space between the site header image and the content of any forum page - the content starting roughly halfway down the browser screen.

...

Hopefully, this will enable the tech guys to see what the issue is so that, when time permits, they can see if anything can be done to resolve it.

That'll be a CSS problem: And, most likely, a bug in Seamonkey - since you've demonstrated Firefox & Edge work fine, I can confirm that Chromium based browsers work OK - that just leaves Safari and a few smaller players, e.g. Seamonkey - which I've never tried.

There may be a CSS workaround; but it seems to me that it's not honouring (or perhaps over-honouring) an element height setting.

Unfortunately, IME getting CSS absolutely perfect is a bit like pinning a tail on a donkey, when the donkey is alive and well and in the next room, and you're blindfolded, using a long stick and a blunt pin. And the donkey's already got a tail. And there's a herd of cats underfoot. It may also be raining...  CSS is a pig...
Cheers!

Thanks.  I've asked NGF Tech about the gap at the top of the forum.  I've not had that issue.

If members could just use this thread for forum issues please, as it's hard to follow any issues with multiple posts of nothingness.  Thanks. :P  :D

@chrism thanks for the heads up with header (no pun intended) I fixed that a littler earlier and should be good for those who use the browsers with the issue.

7.50am here in Oz, and I've just checked my laptop. All is now well. The acres of blank screen are now gone.

Thanks!

Glad it looks proper now.

New addition: You will see "All Unread" to the top right above the main menu. That should give easy access to what some of you have asked for.
