I'd hold off on the lessons Steve. He'll be wanting to borrow the car soon!
The years have been good to me, it was the weekends that did the damage.

I'm safe there. It would be too expensive to insure him (once he's passed) on my Zafira and a whole lot cheaper on my wife's Matiz!

Well this is a month late.

3 years post transplant  :claphappy: :claphappy: :claphappy:

Saw the transplant team yesterday and everything looks great, apart from my stomach, got to lose some weight!

And Covid boosters have been approved over here for any one who's immuno-compromised so I hoping to get mine later this week.

Regards,

John P

Nice to read something like that John, (well, apart from the stomach bit!).

I used to be indecisive - now I'm not - I don't think.
If a friend seems distant, catch up with them.

That's good news John. What did you have transplanted, if you don't mind me asking?

Part two of the mRNA upgrade completed.

The side-effects are not too bad (so far) and the voices in my head are certainly a lot clearer now

Sounds more like the unhappy thread: In spite of being double jabbed got Covid and was washed out for a week or so - hate to think what state I would have been in without the jabs - the worst effect was that red wine tasted awful! First day out walking and the dog (GSD) ran into me from behind and sent me sprawling. After a couple of days went to A & E and was admitted with a fractured femur. Spent 2 days in hospital and after an MRI scan it was decided, and this is where the happy post starts, that I did not require surgery and went home and even better after 3 weeks or so I can hobble without crutches and get around nicely with just one crutch. An added bonus is I seem not to have caught any bugs in hospital. To me that's a happy result.

Does the wine taste better now too?

In April 2024 I will be raising money for Cancer Research UK by doing at least 100 press-ups every day.  Feel free to click on the picture to go to the donations page if you would like to help me to reach my target.

Thankfully all back to normal, but was a bit worried for a while.
