To be fair it was mostly swapping for bits I already had. As I had a spare armature kicking around I thought I ought to try it  :D

I saw the presflos in the s/h cabinet when I was in HH last week.

I'm always interested in Cerestar Presflos. I have a dream of having 20, because they only made 19!  :D
They had some nice blue/gray Mk1s that were tempting in the second hand case. I do like to support my 'local' model shop when I can

Good on yer! something we all aught to do when they have what we want at a reasonable price, when you factor in the postage you don't always make a saving  I'm trying to use "Platform Models" as much as possible, very helpful and friendly, recommended

I could do with the silver tanks but the loco looks to have a full yellow panel.
Certainly a bargain, Paul

I didnt need this at all, but at £99 it couldnt be left on the shelf!! Apart from the rude awakening by Royal Mail, at half six this morning, a heck of a bargain!!
I take it this is the set from ModelRailwaysDirect. Already have a blue 22, otherwise would have been sorely tempted! It's such a great model. How to the milk tankers look? Has the weathering improved over the ones supplied with the 'Hymek' train pack? Those tankers were just covered in blobs of black and brown, and the weathering of the 'Hymek' was basic, to say the least.

I'd love to see Dapol issue these milk tankers in the orange-and-white 'St Ivel' livery. That was one of the more colourful liveries of the late 60s/early 70s, and seemed to feature strongly in West Country milk trains around that time.

Cheers, NeMo

Very nice - it would have been very rude to not buy the set at £99!  ;)

Merry Christmas

Hi All

Talking about being rude not to buy I went for the Dapol MK3 coaches at £10 each

2 first class and 3 second class

I also picked up the buffet coach from Model Rail Direct at £15.99

Both delivered within 2 days - good for this time of the year

The whole rake of 6 for £75 including postage - can't be bad

I can live with the "125" error

Look's great behind the Class 73 with the MK1 full brake I already had

:beers:
