Hi Mike ( @impinabox )

Thank you for the photos - the Class 40 looks great.

Might be time to make a wee investment...  ;)

Kind regards

The Class 40 is one of those locos that's so ugly it's almost cute...
Gasp! :o How very dare you!

Oh dear... hornets nest approaching!  C'mon guys, compared with real 'looker' like below, the class 40 is no beauty!

:sick2:

Okay, you made me do it, time to wheel out the big guns...

I do beg its pardon - but Black Stanier / Red Stanier - both old kettles compared to the blue A4.   :D   But as I was saying, I'm enjoying my big ugly class 40 at the mo.

Ah yes, the A4, so named as that's all the paper they needed to design it, explains a lot.

According to legend, at least one plasticine model was needed as well  ;)

Enjoying all the Class 40s, impressive beasts to me in both model form and reality

Looks nice @Ensign Elliott - fits in well there.

May I ask, are those point control wires (sorry, don't know the technical term) homemade or a kit?
Just call me Ted, or Edward... or Ed.

Just not Eddie.
