I've had those too Bob, just as annoying when in front of you!

Held up for miles and miles doing 40mph in a 60 limit, no safe place to overtake with oncoming traffic, only to see them shoot off still doing 40 when we come to a 30 limit!

I know it sounds terrible, but some people really shouldn't be on the road...

Thursday I was taking my car in for MOT, at 8.15am (ie in the midst of the rush-hour). Following a car at 28mph in 30 limit. OK so far. Derestricted road (60mph max) - gently accelerate to 32mph and then stay there. Wait! a car approaches from the other direction - slow right down to 20mph. Then gently accelerate to 32mph again. Another vehicle approaches, slow down again - aaargh, its a bus! - slow to a dead crawl. Accelerate again, oooh, get the oxygen out, 35mph! A-ha! a straight stretch, nothing coming, I'll overtake - then something appears from round the next corner - damn! Car in front slows down again...

Long story short, a 15 minute trip took 25 because of this incompetent driver...

I can never understand why, on a standard width road, if they stay their side of the dotted line, they feel they have to slow to a crawl when a vehicle comes the other way. I agree, they should at least go back for some driving lessons. There are some times it should be legal to use forward mounted rockets!
The years have been good to me, it was the weekends that did the damage.

That'd make a bit of a mess, and cause a lot of awkward questions...

My ex used to do that.  Probably still does   But her greatest achievement was stopping in the middle of a level-crossing to look both ways :o

I was just thinking with all the government cuts we will have to look on fleabay we might be able to pick up a tank or armoured car with rockets on that would be fun I could then go on the Happy thread By the way thanks SD35 For your kind remarks about my railcar and to everyone else who have said it looks good.
BHE are of to Southwold next weekend we will need the rockets up there MAX  speed about 25 mph once you get of the A12 they all have horse and carts but a lovely part of the country ..

The PION certainly gets a move on when it wants to. What do you think its green credentials are like?

I have quite a fast car but it is surprising when someone is trying to tailgate me how slowly I can drive.  I don't break hard I just slowly reduce speed and drive near the centre of the road.  Usually at about 10 KPH the car behind gets the idea.  The advantage of a fast car is that those 4x4s can't accelerate as well..

Having driven to Stoke and back today on the dear ole M6 I was very perturbed on the return journey to see all those drivers going on holiday who obviously do not go anywhere near a motorway at other times and consequently have no idea of motorway driving so just clog everything up. I believe we ought to have certain roads (as in Portugal) with strictly enforced minimum speeds :hmmm:
It's also quite mind boggling to see the lower half of legs hung out of the front passenger window  I know it's extremely hot but just think what would happen if the car was involved in an accident :worried:
4 x 4's towing wobbly boxes (caravans) at 80 mph do the drivers reputation no help either ::)

I love my 2 grandkids but they have a nasty habit of catching things at playgroups or playschool and then spreading it about. They very kindly gave me a chest infection last week that even though I fought it has meant that Ive had to break into our emergency backup stock of antibiotics. At least our GP is good enough to make sure I always have a backup stock of anti bios and steroids tucked away at home. I hate taking either of them but at times theres just no alternative
