precision poly cement - blocked nozzle

Somehow got my metal nozzle bunged up with cement.
Tried soaking in ipa (not beer)
That's no good.
Any other options? Or just buy a new one?

A long bit of thin wire (handrail wire is quite good and the glue cleans off the wire) pushed through the nozzle usually unblocks them out for me.

If it's just a metal tube like the Revell ones, holding it over a gas ring with a pair of pliers burns it off a treat

Burnt mine off using a lighter - warning ⚠ the tube on mine ended up glowing red and from then on it was easy to accidentally bend it.

Nooooo. I'm with Dr Al. Thin brass wire works every time for me. Flammable smelly glue and naked flame? Besides once burned onto the inside of the tube sounds hard to get rid of with the fine wire you need to poke in there.

leave the wire in the tube after use - its a better seal than the cap and will prevent clagging ( or do I mean clogging)..

I've coveted my bases by spending £1.99 on a new one to keep in reserve.
Still to hunt down an appropriate straight wire. Got lots of bent ones!

I've blasted the tube on a gas ring, and it's fine now. Different colour, but.

I use BHE 0.33mm brass wire. Try straightening a bit of wire and poking it in... A few kinks should work ok.

Or why not supply the bloomin product with something to clean the nozzle with in the first place....no that would be too helpful !

I use the wire method. I keep a wire with a loop bent into the top in my modelling knife pot especially for the purpose..

I just burn it off with a candle lighter myself. Can be easily removed with a pair of pliers to avoid melting the plastic.
