As this thread has picked up a bit in the last few weeks and many seem to be of a 'prog rock' and other good music persuasion, this isn't so much of a sound but a reference book to many of the bands mentioned previously. With fold out pages, it traces the many line ups featured in such bands as King Crimson, Jethro Tull, Fleetwood Mac, Deep Purple, Yes, Fairport Convention and many others. It is not all encompassing but it is interesting to see who appeared in what line up at what period in the band's existence. Not cheap but a great reference book............

£113   What's wrong with Wikipedia or am I missing something? I usually look at examples like this one:

In April 2024 I will be raising money for Cancer Research UK by doing at least 100 press-ups every day.  Feel free to click on the picture to go to the donations page if you would like to help me to reach my target.

To follow the construction of my layout "Longcroft" from day 1, you'll have to catch the fish below first by clicking on it which isn't difficult right now as it's frozen!

The link I gave had just one @ £49.95 and it's gone now. Maybe one of those who rated my post has snapped it up

If you like nice, gentle guitar music with a nice rise and fall then have a listen to William Tyler with Highway Anxiety :
https://youtu.be/OdHJIh7ycT4?si=xPv6kx7QWmkdhXKb
Keeps you interested for some 8 minutes or so.

And if you like things to be a little more on the rocky side here is William Tyler again livening things up a little  with his band The Impossible Truth.
You might like to turn this one up a bit - it fairly rattles along! Fans of Hawkwind might find this to their taste.

I'll get round to fixing it drekkly me 'ansome.

Both completely different but equally good, thanks for posting Martin @port perran .

Here is one of my favourites Frank Zappa tracks played live by his son Dweezil Zappa.

Sorry, it's long (extended guitar solo) and great musicianship but I miss the original "Mothers of Invention" George, Ruth et al... but Napoleon Murphy Brock is on lead vocals

Cheers,

Tim

First half seemed more shades of Skynyrd to me but I twig the Hawkwind reference for the second half

Definitely sound like Hawkwind, I must admit I was waiting for Dave Brock to start singing. Just looked up the CD to purchase (I don't do that modern downloading thing) and am very tempted to click "Buy". It's here if you're interested.
Thanks for these Martin @port perran   :headbang:

I quite liked it but I do prefer Titties and Beer whichever way you want to interpret that.

Not necessarily the best version but quite funny at times:

It must be the beer John @Trainfish ! But seriously, FZ's output was phenomenal and he rarely seemed to go over old ground. A late friend introduced me to FZ through Hot Rats way back when... RIP FZ

Cheers,

Tim

PS I like the reference to Warner Bros., and the bass player throws in "Sunshine of Your Love"!

You could be right. Here's me and @port perran at the 2022 Devizes beer festival with me proudly sporting my Zappa T-shirt. No titties on show although 1 or 2 may disagree:
