Hello,

I'm looking for a small piece of brass cutting and engraving with a couple of holes and some wording. I'd like the lettering coloured black too. Does anybody know of any suppliers? I can do a CAD drawing layout myself, I just need it doing.

Thanks Paul

Paul, I noticed the other day that Timpson's have a range of engraved plates in various materials.  Maybe worth a look.

Best wishes.

Thanks John.

I've looked at engravers and trophy suppliers etc... but I'm after quite a specific size. Partly by design but mostly to hide an oversight  :help:

An off-the-shelf plaque is unlikely to fit  :-[

always found our local ones, one at local Tesco, and one up the town, ready to do their best, even for 'odd' jobs

Hi

I used a local trophy engraver for mine and they made the plaque to the size I requested.

Thanks Paul.

Maybe i should pop in and see one the.  They weren't too helpful on line but maybe it'll be easier to explain face to face.

you could alway buy a bit of brass, cut it to size and drill the holes. Then take it to your local engraver. Filling the engraved lettering in black you could do with a tin of Himbrol enamel..

Ask Mr Google about saddle nameplates. Lots of options.

Depending on what you want exactly, http://www.stoneybridge.co.uk/index.asp might be able to offer you something. He is very accommodating and easy to deal with. We've had some excellent service from him in the past. Usual disclaimers - just a happy customer.
