Mr PJ

Agree with all the comments on here about Mick - one of the most supportive people on the forum. Lets hope we hear from him very soon.

It is heartwarming to read just how many members are rooting for our friend!

I know that the thread about myself brought tears to my eyes that so many wanted to wish me well in my struggles.

As like everyone else I am concerned about our friend and wish him all the best and hope that he has a speedy recovery.

Regards, Peter.
Each can do but little, BUT if each did that little, ALL would be done!

Get well soon Mick.  This place is not the same without you.

Just spoken to Micks' mum and am really pleased to report some better news. :)

They gave him some pretty heavy sedation which knocked him out for about a day and a half, when they finally woke him he was a lot calmer and is able to sleep a little naturally now, he has also started eating a little too.

There was some congestion on his lungs which has cleared and an angiogram would suggest the operation itself has gone well.  He has even taken a couple of very short walks.

Hopefully he will be out of intensive care and on to a regular ward either today or tomorrow, which will really signal a return to the road to recovery.

Those who wish to send anything to Mick are still welcome to post them to me and I will put them altogether and post them down to his Mums house where he will be recuperating for a few weeks before returning home.  I think I have replied to all the PMs for my address, but if you have not heard from me please send me a reminder  :confused1: :D

Better an extra few days in hospital than struggling at home (regardless of fine backups from family and friends)
