Following Richard stepping down as editor of the NGS Journal, Ben Jones of Model Rail is also stepping down. His last day is the end of the week.

His email, that I received, doesn't say - and MR contacts from Monday February 3rd are Richard Foster (richard.foster@bauermedia.co.uk) and Chris Leigh (chris.leigh@bauermedia.co.uk).

Wonder if Chris Leigh might return for a while?  I hope this does not signal any problems with Model Rail.

Ben A

Hi all,

Ben Jones is leaving Model Rail to john BRM I believe.  He's been at Bauer (formerly emap) for 13 years working on the rail titles so I think he's probably ready for a change.

I am sure that a new editor will be appointed in due course but Chris and Richard (along with George Dent) will be well able to keep things going for the time being.

Having said that, a new editor will often bring in some fresh ideas and possible changes if emphasis or direction so as an occasional contributor I am interested to see who they do appoint.

Cheers

Ben A.
