( in fact one of the 3y ewes is not too well and we have brought her home to shelter in an outhouse while being medicated , we're soft like that !! )

In another forum, in the General Chat section we have, from time to time, amusing threads titled " You know you are getting old when ,,, "

I say "from time to time " because some of us forget where the old thread was and have to start a new one

Perhaps we should do that here, or over there,

Yeh! I retired a couple of years ago but they kept asking me to go back to work on a call in basis. - I am totally confused!! I even had a retirement party when I 'retired' and a presentation and some nice gifts. But.. I'm still going to work from time to time. Why is that?? Need to book another appointment with the dementia clinic. OH!! just remembered why I still go to work. Got to save up for all those Hattons pre-orders!

Maybe its because Brit weather is so variable and unpredictable that you can't plan your life so well around the weather.

When Jon posted the op  it had just started snowing here, in N.Somerset, a light covering that vanished almost as quick,
imagine my surprise when a village a few miles away was featured on the local evening news with a total white-out of several cm.!

Like in some other areas in the south any snow etc. that did fall had vanished within the hour and we had a near perfectly clear night sky and morning (so far)
