A lot of the stuff you want I was lucky enough to get first time round, with the result that I'm now suitably stocked. I found that in the main it has been better to buy stuff as it comes out, plus keeping a good eye on eBay, at shows, and in shops. There are still a lot of bargains out there though, you just have to keep an eye out. The only exception recently was the Birdcage stock, which I paid discounted full whack for as it came out, only to see them be remaindered for £30-£40 less a while back. The same goes for 4CEPs which Hattons couldn't get rid of at £89.

Best of luck with finding what you need. I'd love a 4MT 4-6-0 too, one of the real big omissions in N.

I totally agree re: the Standard 4MT 4-6-0, loco drive and Next 18/sound enabled, especially given that I will be very surprised to see Farish do any more runs of the 4MT Mogul.

Talking of 47s, having bought a Collectors Club one in the XP64 livery, rather that more of the more recent liveries, what I would like Bachmann to release next to cater for us transition types is one in the original two-tone green livery and the pre-TOPS plain BR blue both of course with the latest chassis and sound. I did mention this to Bachmann earlier this year, and while the omission was acknowledged (it is those two diesel liveries that tend to sell out quickest retailers have told me) to manage expectations I was told there won't be any more 47s for a while.

Birdcage set - absolutely no relevance to the area I model but I bought a BR maroon one, at £74.95 it seemed rude not to at that price - it is exquisite and goes beautifully with my equally lovely sound fitted C Class in BR black
