One of these just arrived from DM Toys, a snip at £58 delivered (currently half price on sale!!) Tonight will be dcc chipping, adding red lights as it only has headlights and probably add some flashing lights to the top as well....... Now just contemplating giving her a complete respray for use on a "Top Secret" Project, even though the livery being Colas could get gotten away with in its current guise!  8)

Hi,
A very good valute..I purchased the same about DM TOYS..it's the only one euro loco running on British track....mainly standing in Dover If I remember...pay attention for Dcc conversion.if use a 6 Pin decoder you need  a very short one, like KUHEN 045 .......I chipped mine with it..
Greetings

I reckon a pic of your total pacific line up would be awesome, Les. ;)

I couldn't get them all in one shot (I think).

Les
edit - here they are (or 26 of them)....

22 runners from Hawthorn Dene - 11 A3, 6 A4, 2 A2, 1 A1 and 2 Britannias.  Three runners not DCC from the showcase (2 apple green A3 and Silver Link), plus the broken A2/2 waiting a valve gear repair.

Missing are an A3 and an A4 bought as broken from Dapol but which should be repairable when I get round to them, A Farish A4 which will remain analogue, another Farish A4 (blue) which Mr Simon has, and the A1 that is STILL away for repair.

On top of the test track as Hawthorn Dene is at the clubroom following its photoshoot by Andy York.

With that array Les, you should do a Top Shed diorama....:-)

Gateshead, maybe.  Most of the A3s are North Eastern Region ones......

Bought another steam loco to join the steam specials fleet, a green standard 5MT this time, which will be nice alongside my BR black livery steamers & the Maroon Duchess steamer  :D

It's secondhand but I think it's been test run only, boxed & with all the bits, I've run it in & it runs superb & pulls well :claphappy:

It will just need a bit of detailing in the cab, loco crew, lamps, & real coal added to the tender when I get around to it. Brings my steam fleet total up to 7.

Cheers, Stu.  :)

Yes this one ran lovely straight out of the box, 2 of the other steam locos I have, the B1 & the Duchess developed running problems & I had to take them apart & adjust a few things to get them running nice, steam locos can be a bit hit & miss I find. Also one of my Dapol panniers is an awful runner, think that one is in need of a Major strip down.

cheers, Stu.

NeMo

Courtesy of Cheltenham Model Centre, this beauty. It's the limited edition 'Western Enterprise' from Osborns, number 200 of 200 no less. Probably won't weather this one... best to leave it in its original condition, I think!

Very nice :heart2: I didn't realize they only made 200 - it may be worth something one day!

You lucky bu**er!!!! Been looking for one for ages... Can i be cheeky and ask what you had to pay out for it? :)

£100 plus postage. Has to be said: BARGAIN! Even the wife admitted it looked "pretty".

Wow thats the bargain of the year!!! I would have snapped it up at that price ....

Indeed. Had already blown the month's toy train budget... payday some time away, certainly didn't need it for my layout, but figured couldn't turn this one down. Very pleased, but does mean I'll have to be good this month and not buy any more toy trains this side of Christmas!

I have my name down with Osborns for the next run of that item but they have to wait until Dapol do another run of Westerns so Lord only knows when that will be.
Wonder if they'll call it a limited run again as I suspect they'll only do 200 again :hmmm:
