printing nameplates

Would anyone be able and willing to print a few n gauge loco nameplates ? (the ones i want aren't available from Fox.)

have a look at their 4mm range, and if the nameplate you want is there, give them a call and ask if they will do them in 2mm. I did this for both my County and Star and the cost was considerably less than a bespoke set of plates and they did single sets

thanks for that suggestion. Oddly enough i did get both county and star nameplate sets from them earlier this year.

Try Railtec as well, they can make custom 3D waterslide transfer nameplates to order.

ive asked railtec twice to do me steam loco names==both times declined. But now i want rectangular plates--gold on red lettering...i cant see the difference to those diesel jobs

I recently received some plates from Light Railway Stores.

They draw them up for you and send the image for approval, after which they etch and paint them. It takes a good few weeks for the whole process, but the plates I received were very nice.

i was hoping someone would be willing to print them on their computer printer--on shiney paper so i could cut them out, stick on loco and varnish. I would be happy to pay of course.

The tiny brass jobs from fox are very nice--but easy to get it wrong--and really not necessary on n gauge models.

this was my first attempt with fox plates--i used superglue and it was nearly an expensive disaster. Now i use glue'n'glaze--its far more forgiving.
