Superb work and I especially like your detailing of the abandoned car and disused track which I feel really adds life to your layout

Cheers John.

I can imagine this is going to inspire a few of our members as the box file has been mentioned a few times.

Your pictures certainly capture the essence of a sidings

cheers John.
Long time after this post!
The thread has inspired me to do something small and siding related :)

This is excellant. I'm glad to have seen this thread as it is very useful to me. Layout plan is a South Wales theme so this is quite inspiring. Especially love the NCB pannier.

It's just so difficult to distinguish between the real thing and modelling (sigh)

That's easy - if it were a model it wouldn't look so good

Great modelling! Makes me impatient for progress to be made on the scenics of my layout.
Quick question: What make are your 21 tonners? I'm not too impressed by the Dapol offering and so I'm looking around for an alternative.

I love this layout.

It is so beautifully modelled and captures that slightly run down and grubby feel of the BR blue era perfectly - exactly as I remember it. I think it is a shining example of what can be done in such a small space.

 :o :o :o :o :o :o

This looks amazing! How did you do the ground around the tracks? Is that static grass or just fibres ripped and placed carefully?
