Parkwood Models

Parkwood Models produces a range of resin snowploughs and body shells of UK outline locomotives to fit existing motorised chassis.

"This firm offers a range of simple to assemble but rather good kits of goods stock seen in the early BR era, several of which are of pre-nationalisation prototypes. The van models come complete with a moulded roof. They also offer three models of early, centre-cab, Type 1 diesel locomotives as single piece cast-resin mouldings to fit the Graham Farish Class 20 chassis.

"I understand the Parkwood range is now sold via the N Gauge Society shop." [1]

Parkwood Models announced on 23 February 2009 on the RMweb archive that the kits and tools for its non-locomotive kits had been passed onto the N Gauge Society. The locomotive and brake tender kits , including some new models are still sold directly by Parkwood, via ebay or mail order.

While the company did not offer ready-to-roll N gauge locomotives or rolling stock, several of its kits have either been photographed or have been made available for sale after construction. The stocklist below includes these examples, which are now effectively RTR models that may have been and may one day again be available on the open market.

In time the stocklist should also include all of their available kits in their unconstructed form.

Stocklist

Please note that this list is not exhaustive.

Locomotives

The locomotive stocklist is divided into historically appropriate categories, starting with pre-Grouping companies up to 1923 (or 1930 for the S&DJR), then the four Grouping companies, then British Railways, and then other companies and organisations that ran their own locomotives after 1948. By default, locomotives within each list are ordered generally by wheel arrangement and class, but this is not exclusive.
