I keep looking at Dapol's web site and it still says expected this quarter. The're running out of time !  Anybody got any inside information as to the likelihood of September or maybe this year ?

And while we're about it anybody know if the class 50 will arrive this year ?

Hi

I'm still waiting for the 56 which originally had September 2014 as the due date and was production scheduled then. Still the same status but says 2nd quarter 2015 which I do believe has passed. How hard can a re run be?

Cheers

Paul

I have a Farish 33 with split gears which I will fix sometime this year, and Murphy's Law states as soon as I get it up and running the Dapol version will become available. I'll keep you posted...

I've waited so long for a Class 33 in NSE that I've bought a kit and will build one myself - although a little bigger!  :D

You could build an entire N-gauge layout inside that

Got an e-mail from a certain Liverpool retailer today which had the Class 33 featured. Oh good I thought, about time those came in. Sadly when I clicked on the link it seems it is only a list of model numbers and pricing for pre-orders. Hopefully though it is a sign that these little fellas are not too far from the Liverpool docks... Anyway here's the list:

2D-001-005 Class 33/0 33020 BR Blue  £99
2D-001-005D Class 33/0 33020 BR Blue  £119
2D-001-006 Class 33/0 33008 BR Green "Eastleigh" yellow front.  £99
2D-001-006D Class 33/0 33008 BR Green "Eastleigh" yellow front.  £119
2D-001-007 Class 33/0 33042 Triple grey construction sector  £99
2D-001-007D Class 33/0 33042 Triple grey construction sector  £119
2D-001-008 Class 33/0 D6561 BR Green full yellow front  £99
2D-001-008D Class 33/0 D6561 BR Green full yellow front  £119

Do you want the good news or the bad news first NN...

Hattons still have D6597 on their website (it was just not on today's e-mail list)...
But, if you take a look at the Dapol website 6597 is not on their list...

Hmmm, it's not very clear is it! I have a blue class 33/1 and a green one on pre-order, so we will have keep a close eye on what actually comes off the slow boat from China  :confused2:

I realise your post was made some time ago but I have only just found this thread.
Once again we see a manufacturer assuming that just because a loco is in BR Blue it MUST have a TOPS number!  :veryangry:
D65XXs ran in BR Blue for years without TOPS numbers - I just wish some manufacturer would realise this and make a few without.
If it's not a Diesel Hydraulic then it's not a real locomotive.

:D  Reminds me of my spotting days back in the 1970s while waiting for a train and we had heard a 'Hoover' () was on it rather than a Western .

The reference number I quoted is on their list, Mike, but it looks like they've changed the running number to D6539 (not that it bothers me particularly)

Have had my 33 on pre-order since July 2013 so I guess I can wait another month (or two)!

If you're keen to learn the latest ETA,why not  drop them an email. Kevin was kind enough to promptly respond to my inquiry regarding the Grange.

WARNING - THOSE OF A NERVOUS DISPOSITION READ NO FURTHER.

I remember it well. I had one back then, but just look at that coupling!!  ::)

The things we'd put up with back then are unbelievable today.
