Strange that - @wookie had three similar locos from UM too.
Good news for Colin at Union Mills :)

Lovely locos.

Not sure if these two are easy or even possible to DCC, info on both road numbers on the forums seem to be thin on the ground.

The Class 44 is basically the same model as the more common Class 45/46, so you may have more luck searching for those.

I recall from my early abortive consideration of DCC that the 44/45/46 can be converted, but due to lack of space inside the body requires either sacrifice of a cab interior, or modifications to the chassis itself, see e.g.:

Latest N scale purchase:

Didn't realize how tiny the Terriers were! (It's not an issue). Have two more orders coming from the UK at some point as I decided to see what other shops will ship items to the US.

Yup. They're certainly small. The coin in the pic is a £1 coin.

Thought about a side-by-side photo with my Kato FEF 4-8-4 UP #844 or my SP Daylight for size comparison, even though they're slightly different scales... 844 is the largest steam locomotive I have at the moment.

The postie dropped off another package today, this one containing Mainline blue 60078, ran it briefly on the test loop with a rake of lightweight mkIVs, nice and smooth and very quiet.

More items from the UK (Hattons):

Not shown are several bridge sides for road overpasses, and some 216mm curved unitrack. I can start making progress on a 2x4 layout for my British stuff. I forgot to order the stone sheets/sides for the inside of the bridges between the portals...

Hi Jeff, try scalescenes - they do very nice 'print your own' textured building sheets at reasonable cost. Just print as many or as few as you need. Would save you a bit of time and money in shipping!

Ordered these little beauties from the Wagon Yard on the 15th arrived this morning excellent service

Lovely crisp printing

Very pleased with these and the fact that inspite of my eye problem I'm determined to have another go at modelling, tackling the Scalescenes garage in the hope that it wont look to bad from a normal distance
