Langley kit for class 56xx Locomotive
« on: February 15, 2020, 02:49:16 PM »
Hi, I have a Langley kit of a GWR Class 56xx locomotive which I bought in 1977 ish , of course in the passing of time the building instructions have disappeared. I have just returned to the hobby and am now looking to build it. If anyone could help me with either a copy or brief set of instructions I would be very grateful.

thanks

Gerry Webb

Don't know if this is a complete instruction set, but it may be enough to get you through.

There is a lovely 0-6-2 chassis on its way from Sonic - Oh and it's under a 56xx body!!!!

Still, each to their own.
Best

Does anyone know if the Sonic chassis will fit in the old Farish GP tank body? This is the base model for the conversion kit (can't remember who makes it offhand ... Langley?) for the Hurry Riches 0-6-2 tanks of the Welsh valley lines ... which were in turn the locomotives on which the 56xx were based.

I've been meaning to have a bash at some of these conversions for a while ... but if there's already an 0-6-2 chassis which will fit in there to save me the hassle of converting the Farish chassis ... well ... I'm a lazy bugger ...
