Luckily the preponderance of 1st class 'A9' vehicles in the Arnold announcement   is not so bad, as all the A9 coaches were latterly declassified into 'B9' (second class)

And another point - what model are they expecting pwople to use to haul them - where is the retooled 'Jacquemin' electric (last issued by Arnold over 10 years ago) that is desparately needed?

The move from Lima Arnold to Hornby Arnold saw the loss of the SNCF Jaquemins and the Vtu Corail coaches. Piko mopped up the Corail market and Minitrix will do the same (eventually?) with Jaquemins. In my view these were two of the most authentic SNCF models in the Arnold range. I suspect the tooling never made it into Hornby Arnold’s stock.

Hello all

Oh wow!  E656!!  I have long wondered why there are so few Italian outline models available... definitely in for one of these.

All I also need is E626, E636 and maybe some of the ALe 790 units for that long-planned layout of Taormina station in the 1970s/80s...

Ben A.

PB Model has recently done an E636 which looks to be a good 3D design:

Photos of the catalogue pages from REE Modeles are on the Facebook page for Alsace Modelisme. Loads more SNCF stock - UIC Y couchettes in high and low roof, railcars, bogie fuel tankers, and a huge range of bogie articulated container wagons:-

In English - but that doesn't make the digital only models at a hefty price tag any more palatable! Plus the catalogue contains some odd soundbites (including some major inaccuracies - eg DR (DDR) 03 0090 cannot be a class 03.10 pacific

Lemke/Hobbytrain catalogue including new 2020 items here:

At last! The BLS autoverlad driving trailer. Would like it in both liveries of course but that's out due to high price

The newly refurbished “dosto” liveried IC2000 stock is also in there. My wallet is looking petrified!

Also listed are 4 new re6/6’s. Does anyone know if these are re-runs on liveries or will they be completely new retooled locos? They could do with an upgrade!

Best regards,

Jeremy

Re Re6/6 (pun intended...)
I hope they are retooled as they are taking an awful long time to appear ('new items' since at least two Nurnberg's ago) AFAIR

I would be surprised if they are going to be retooled unless the moulds are worn out.
Kato made quite a few changes to the chassis and body when they introduced the rectangular halogen headlamp version.

But she very much is.
Built by Maffei in 1940, reconstructed at Halberstadt in 1959/60, renumbered 03 0090-5 in 1970 (the first = in the running number shows she's oil-fired), now with Mecklenburgische Eisenbahnfreunde Schwerin.

Best,
Michael

maybe a little late to this thread-

181.2 from Arnold in blue and t/b, both very welcome- and factory fitted DCC without sound also.

From Minitrix the Bm and ABm coaches in turquoise and beige are also welcome.  There are loads of Fleischmann ones still around but try finding one without vertical beige stripes at the doors where the paint quality just wasn't good enough.

The Minitrix claim that the E44 in turquoise and beige is a first is wrong.  I wish I could remember who made the one I had over 30 years ago...

Any chance of Arnold reissuing their long centre-entrance coaches, or did I miss them?

Les

'There are loads of Fleischmann ones still around but try finding one without vertical beige stripes at the doors where the paint quality just wasn't good enough.'

I checked the RAL paint numbers, on line', for the appropriate colours. I also checked various photos on the web.

The problem was solved with a lot of patience and a very small paintbrush. I also touched in the correct coloured lower panels on the ends of my Fleischmann Blue/Beige and TEE stock. Unclip the corridor connection first, to make a neat job easier.

These light coloured stripe on the door hinge line had bothered me for years. In the end it was a 'roundtoit' job that I finally got around to.
