Lights on Farish Class 101 3 Car DMU
« on: November 10, 2019, 01:18:57 PM »
I have recently acquired a Farish 3 car DMU ITEM NO 371-511 and running in on DC had no problem with head or tail lights however since fitting decoders I can not get the lighting to work on the power car, the destination board lights but not head / tail.
I have the lights working ok with the decoder in the End non powered car, have tried changing the settings on CV 49 & 50 but no difference, I tried taking out the decoder and putting the dc card back in but no lights this time, any suggestions?
I also note that there are 2 small dip / slide switches under the chassis anyone know what these are for there is no mention in the instructions :helpneededsign: :thankyousign:

Hi John and welcome to the forum. I can not say for certain, but I believe some loco's have tiny switches to control the lights when on DC running and this may be the case with your DMU. However, I am sure some one will know and provide an answer.

Iím pleased to report that I have managed to clear the problem, decoder reprogramming dip switch manipulation and wheel cleaning has been successful and DMU now running well with correct lights for direction travelled :thankyousign:
