Hello
« on: October 09, 2019, 03:48:00 PM »
Hi.  Have been modelling in n gauge for a few years, mostly toying with various ideas but now planning to model an n gauge branch line.  Hoping to start posting about this project nearer the end of the month and looking forward to seeing what everyone thinks about it and any advice they can offer.

Hi Robert, and welcome to the forum
2 things immediately spring to mind:-

Don't compromise on a track plan. Proceed only if you're happy with it as it's the most important part of any layout.
Don't fix any cross battens to your baseboard until you know where points will be sited if you intend using under-board point motors.

Hi Robert, from sunny Los Angeles.

Echoing all the comments so far, this is a friendly and incredibly helpful group of people. I got into the hobby a couple of years ago precisely because of the encouragement of these folks. Any chance I get to "pay it forward" as regard to their positive vibes and any learned advice, I will!

(Just going to look at the track plan now!).
