Hi Chris,

So glad you won your war. Scary stuff I'm sure.

Glad you're back modelling.

Take it easy now.

Cheers weave  :beers:

Thanks weave. Actually it started as feeling rather over-tired then strange muscle aches and knee-discomfort. I had high temps for 2 evenings but last Wednesday my temp peaked at 41.4 all day. Oddly I felt OK so sat and watched the Smithsonian Channel all day. Next day the temp was gone and has been gone since. I did get tested and it was Positive. However, I am out of isolation. During my sick-time I learned to fly a Harrier Jump Jet on my PC so it wasn't all that bad!  :laugh3:

I know it must have been a bit of an ordeal for you Chris, but glad you were not apparently as bad as some. As you say, some good came out of it - you can now fly a Harrier!    :beers:

I used to be indecisive - now I'm not - I don't think.

Welcome back Chris! Great to hear from people who've come through this. It seems pretty random how badly the illness goes. Take care!

Thanks all for your kind words.

My question is, "Am I now part-Pangolin? Do I have it's DNA? Is this a 'birth of a superhero moment? All new international Pangolin Man. Meek and mild-mannered Chris Pearce steps into a phone-booth and becomes.....PANGOLIN MAN!!!!!!!" I then rush off searching for ants.

One can only wonder!

I get that all the time, but I think it's something to do with my age :D

Thirded!

A chum of mine flew Harriers.  He told me they needed careful handling.

Best wishes.

The Table-Top Railway is an attempt to create, in British 'N' gauge,  a 'semi-scenic' railway in the old-fashioned style, reminiscent of the layouts of the 1930s to the 1950s.

I saw a documentary about their development. A bit of a 'widow-maker' in the early days. A USMC pilot described them when doing a vertical landing as, "trying to balance an elephant on the head of a pin." Seems fair enough. Does take a bit of juggling even on a simulator but there is a sense of achievement when the wheels actually touch down.

The original concept goes right back to the Flying Bedstead demonstrated at Farnborough in the 1950s.
