good luck

i would start small, aim for one particular part of the GE mainline , a station, thinkl realistic stock,  what is available, maybe fictional heritage line connected to a mainline or situated next to one, can go on about operations, but do ask questions gavin - we all are here to help and learn and advise each other

Certainly alot to think about! First thing is to have a proper measure up at the weekend to confirm the size of the space I have to work with. Also got a mid week day off next week and have found that the plus daughters model shop is less then a mile from my front door so will pop in for a chat and see what they can offer to get be started.

Cheers, need to pick up a good magazine for sure. Ideal for some lunch time reading at work.
Been a while since I was last on here. Was busy with work and waving spanners around on the driveway with another hobby.
However I have visited plus daughters and John Duffield in Chelmsford and have a good idea of what I need to get me started. Just need to pop in with my old oo gauge stuff from my childhood to see if it's worth trading in against what I want.
Think plus daughters will be my go to though as it's walking distance and they have all I need and we're very helpful. Not to say the other shop wasn't though!
My next port of call is to get on with building my coffee table/base board. Will post up another topic for that elsewhere as i need some pointers in that area.
