Slightly off topic, Swmbo and I took a holiday cottage in Rosedale a few years ago. Absolutely stunning scenery and very peaceful, probably completely different from when the mines and kilns were running pre 1929.
The view from our back garden.

Cheers, Trev.

Hi Trev
Thanks for sharing that lovely view. They are the old kilns. The model we are doing is of the new kilns (whispered: in 4 mm). They were situated just behind the kilns in your pic. Up to the right of where the photo is taken from, is Low Baring and there is a lovely model of The depots, effectively the end of line. It called The Depots. Sadly its in 4 mil again. I believe its at our exhibition this year which is only 3 weeks away. Also appearing is Longframlington - definitely an N gauge layout. @belstone

cheers
Kirky
