Improved gradient posts and mileposts
« on: July 05, 2019, 12:30:49 AM »
After we had a discussion about variants, Julie at York Modelmaking has redesigned the gradient posts to give more options as you will see on the attached pdf.
I've had the first delivery and will post pictures as soon as I can get the writing small enough!

Perhaps the proof that there is intelligent life in outer space is that they haven't contacted us.

Here are the first ones which I have tried: the printing was in Word, using Arial Narrow 8pt in subscript.
These are all the ones which I need for the gradients on my layout.

If the fret shown in the pdf above would suit you, search for yorkmodelrail.com

And here are the mileposts.  Miles measured from the junction near Abergwili on the branch, with a little inaccuracy as Henllan did not connect to Aberayron!  8pt Arial Narrow again with subscript for the miles then CtrlU for the divider and superscript on the line below for the quarters.

And here are the posts in place outside the mouth of the Pencader tunnel.  Fourteen and a quarter miles to the start of the branch at Abergwili, and the warning of the gradient 1 in 200 as you enter the tunnel.
