Clear plastic from shapeways
« on: June 28, 2019, 01:20:18 AM »
Finally Shapeways are offering a clear hard plastic.  They now offer an SLA clear material option at about +2 times the FUD cost.

I want to look at it before passing an opinion on whether it is suitable for window glazing, however if its good then the last big hurdle to making descent looking diesel locos and coaches might have been crossed.

I noticed some very smooth curves on their demo pieces. If prints in this material really are ready to prime and paint without any rubbing down, I think the higher price might be acceptable.
