Thanks for uploading these lists. I've been watching a T9 on Ebay - currently up to 107 with 3 days to go. Seemed a bit steep - but I was almost tempted to bid on it thinking the price reflected rarity value and I might not get another chance. Won't bother now I've seen I can order a brand new one for 85!!!!

it sold for 120 !

I submitted an order last month and my credit card hasn't been charged yet. Colin said it would be charged once the order was ready and postage determined.

Im dont own any steamers but from what Ive read here the Union Mills ones are a quality product.  After reading the letter containing the prices etc it also looks as if Colin also runs a quality business as far as Customer Service is concerned.  I do want one steamer, a J94, in the future but unfortunately they dont produce one

Union Mills has forged a reputation for excellent running qualities, excellent construction, excellent customer service, and producing pre-grouping and other locomotives not available from the big players.

i was away yesterday--and today came home to find a card saying a parcel couldnt be left--requiring a signature.  yep--my latest 2 locos had arrived:

collett goods in BR green--and a dukedog also in BR green...happy days.

colin had included a note with the duke to say the width has now been reduced following previous criticism.

Yesterday the postie delivered two new GWR locos to me, one a UM Dean Goods and the other a Dukedog!!!!!!!!!!! These are my first UM locos and they look nice, but I had no idea they were so heavy! Looking forward to getting out some track and playing with them this weekend. Then, the plan is to strip some paint, add some detail, and then repaint the locos.

I've recently added these two locos to my yard. Tested them, but haven't run them very much. One ran a bit hesitantly, but I think it will be just fine. Mine will run as is - as I'm not capable of adding detail and/or repainting! *sigh* Mind you, for my layout, I don't need to do either.

Try adding real coal.i was given a small lump..I put it in a plastic bag..smashed it with a hammer..then ground it in a pestle and mortar.   I paint a thinned down dribble of copydex or wood glue on the existing model of the coal..and sprinkle my crushed coal on it.  Give it a try..the difference is fantastic..and very low cost. But try it on a lesser loco first.

I was going to drill out the plastic coal and put in my own with a new base....in time of course, as I have to play with it and then we are away on summer hols...so soon I hope.

My 2251 was delivered on Tuesday much to my surprise. I wasn't expecting it for at least another week. I'm going for a test drive later on. If its as good as the Dean Goods and CoT then I'll be very happy. And I don't care if 3205 wasn't built before 1946. It looks really good in it's shirtbutton livery so I'm happy and in the end thats what counts.
