Beat me to it!  Put it in the diary, but I'll hold back on full details for a few days more.  Cheers, Jon

One of the best shows most would agree that i have ever attended. Worked at, friendly. Organised and something. . . For every n gauge modeller. Roll on next year

N Gauge SouthEast 2020
4 April 2020 10am-4pm

Reigate College
Rushworth Road
Reigate
RH2 0QF

Well, we've committed ourselves to NGSE 2020.  The show will be on 4 April 2020, and it will be at a new site, Reigate College.

The show will be a little smaller than Riddlesdown this year, but still a good size with around 15-18 layouts.  This facility does look as if it could be a regular home for us, access is a lot easier (it's just behind Reigate station), and a slightly smaller show will be more sustainable as an annual event (at least for the exhibition manager).

The hall is a large single facility (no long walks between exhibits), using the two halves of the College refectory.  Itís a modern, airy, space.  Access to public transport is good, train or bus, and there is plenty of car parking on site.

We've got a good team putting the show together.  @Tank will continue to give NGF support (and it will be billed as NGF/ESNG again) and look after our printed publicity.  Allan Dawes will continue to offer ESNG gratuitous comments.  @Seanhealy is booking the layouts (I've warned him not to get carried away like @Tank this year).  And @Simon D. will be looking at social media publicity.

I'll try and plan another fun show.....  @snitchthebudgie (a.k.a. Jon)

One point to add.  Looking back at the comments, we're only arranging a one-day show again.  We probably could hire the facility for the weekend and we could consider this in future.  However, this year we want to make sure everything works - and that we break even!

Two days would be better for me. I'd love to attend but if Maidstone United have a Home match on 4th April then this will take precedence. Shan't know until the fixtures are out in early July. I usually miss the 1-day Tonbridge Show for similar reasons. With TINGS at least I have the Sunday option.

I would caution against assuming that a two day show would be better.

At my local club we enjoy a busy one day show. To celebrate our 25th anniversary we ran a two day show. Despite all the extra pomp and publicity we only welcomed an extra 100 or so people. It simply wasn't worth it and we made a loss.
