NYMR Steam Gala 27-29 September 2019
« on: May 31, 2019, 07:12:06 PM »
I thought I had done a post regarding the 2019 Steam Gala, but if I did, I can't find it!  ??? Anyway, the following is taken from the latest email, listing some of the engines on show -

6990 Witherslack Hall will be visiting the railway from Great Central Railway.
GWR 6000 Class 6023 King Edward II from Didcot Railway Centre
60009 Union of South Africa is an LNER Class A4
NELPG K1 Locomotive 62005 will arrive back at the railway this September making a guest appearance.
David.
I used to be indecisive - now I'm not - I don't think.

Taken from the latest newsletter regarding the Steam Gala -

We are pleased to announce the return of three iconic steam locomotives - Lambton Collieries, No. 29, United States Army Transportation Corps S160, No. 2253 and the S15 No. 825.

Unlikely to be working trains as its not quite ready.  But should be on display, possibly in steam.

For those having an interest in the NYMR,  there's a fellow railway modeller (00 gauge), Dave Howorth, who posts quite a few videos on you tube of the attraction. His modelling isn't bad either. Give him a go, very entertaining.
